THE GREATEST LIFE BRAKES
What would happen if you drove your car with the brakes on? you would never go full speed because the brakes would offer resistance. Your car would overheat and break down. If it didn’t break down, the resistance would strain the engine. To get to your destination, you could either press the accelerator harder and make the car go faster.
This analogy is a good illustration of many lives who go through life’s endeavors with their emotional brakes on. Then, what is the brake? it is fear. Fear is the second party of the destructive combination’ coupled with unbeliever to birth worry and cruelty.
The root source of fear is childhood conditioning that causes us to develop two major type of fear. The fear of failure, which causes us to think “I can’t,” and the fear of responsibility which causes us to think I have to; we ended up feeling frustrated, insecured and caught in the double bind of “I have to, but I can’t” or “I can’t but I have to”, they destroy our potentials and sabotages our ability. It grows so wild to destroy one’s happiness and relationships. No passion so effectively robs the mind of all its powers of acting and reasoning as fear. For it tends to paralyze us, holding us back from taking constructive action in the direction of our dream s and goals.
Having known the massive injurious effect of fear in our lives, we will all agree with the famous quote of Henry David.T. which says, Nothing is so much to be feared as fear. The greatest challenge you will ever face in life is the conquest of fear and development of the habit of courage for fear is, and always has been the greatest enemy of mankind. We need to systematically diminish and eradicate our fears, while simultaneously building the kind of courage that will enable us to deal fearlessly with the inevitable ups and downs of life. Learn to release your emotional brakes; fear, by building a high self esteem .Get rid of your fear and face life with positive attitude and confidence for if a man advances confidently in the direction of his dreams and endeavor to live the life which he was imagined, he will meet with success unexpected in common hours.
