NO PROBLEM

Don’t worry if you have problems! Which is easy to say a times until you are in the midst of a really big one, I know. But the only people I am aware of who don’t have troubles are gathered in little neighborhoods. Most communities have at least one. We call them cemeteries. If you are breathing, you have difficulties. It is the way of life. And believe it or not, most of your problems may be good for you!
Oh! Let me explain. A Biology teacher was teaching his students how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly. He told them that in the next couple of hours, the caterpillar would struggle to come out of the cocoon, but no one should help the caterpillar out. Then he left to answer the principal’s call.
The students were waiting and it happened. The caterpillar struggled to get out of the cocoon and against the teacher’s instruction; one of the students took pity on it and decided to help, he broke the cocoon so it didn’t struggle anymore. But shortly afterwards, the butterfly died.
When the teacher returned, he was told what had happened. He explained to the students that it is a law of nature that the struggle to come out of the cocoon actually helps develop and strengthen the butterfly’s wings. By helping the caterpillar, the boy had deprived the caterpillar of its struggle and the butterfly died.
That’s the way it is with people. Challenged and tested, we come alive! Like the coral pounded by the sea, we grow, like the caterpillar fights its way out of the cocoon, we develop strength. Physical demands can cause us to grow stronger. Mental and emotional stress build resiliency. Spiritual testing can produce strength of character and faithfulness. THERE COMES A TIME IN OUR LIVES WHEN IT’S OK NOT TO BE OK; IT’S CALLED THE PROVING TIME
Believe it or not, sometimes things will not go the exact way you’ve planned and expected, it is not lack of faith, it is a reality. My brother sheds more light on this matter in the next column so please take your time to read through. As you move on in the daily pursuits there will be some days when you will find yourself being asked to give up, give in and say “I call it a quit” but remember that the greatest Oak was once a little nut who held its ground. Don’t give in, don’t wilt under the pressure. Hold your ground and you will grow from the experience. Even God didn’t promise a calm passage, He only promised a safe landing. Therefore, it’s sometimes OK not to be OK
Remember, no student moves to the next class without solving problems in the examination hall. Thus, in life, no one moves to the next higher level without having to solve some problems. So, you have problems- no problem! Just tell yourself, “There I grow again!”
